WHAT WE CURRENTLY DO:
OUR GOALS OUR PROJECTS AND OUR MISSION--

H.A.N.D.S. FOR THE HOMELESS:
  • Our current primary focus and concern is the homeless and needy families living in Southern California with our current outreach centered in Lakewood.
--H.A.N.D.S. ON volunteers serve breakfast and coffee to members of the homeless community in the Los Angeles County weekly, providing food clothing,
blankets, and companionship to those in dire need.
--We assist in bringing together the homeless that we meet while doing this outreach with people in positions that can offer them employment, education or
rehabilitation services on a case by case basis.
  • Our long term goal is to build a homeless/transitional shelter. This program will offer a hand up for those who want one, not necessarily a hand out. We
    want to help the homeless by providing an environment that offers access to a trade school, job placement, housing and will meet all of the regular
    needs while participants are active in the program. We want to get those that are serious about changing their lives back into mainstream society and
    help get them what they need to reach long term success.

SEE A NEED MEET A NEED:
We realize that there is a lot of suffering in the world and whenever a situation or problem comes to our attention we make every effort to help in any way we
can. While our organizations primary focus in the United States at this time is building the homeless/transitional shelter in Lakewood it is very evident that their
are needs of many different kinds around the world. Through partnerships with other established organizations overseas we have been and will continue to be
able to offer assistance to many different hurting people and children world wide. Some examples of how we accomplish this is below.
  • Christmas project at Rancho De Sus Nina's where with help from numerous generous donors, outfitted 53 Mexican orphans with a full range of
    necessities such as clothes, shoes, sunglasses, bathroom products, and toys for Christmas. Our volunteers spent time with the children singing,
    dancing, and giving guitar lessons
  • Partners with Trumaine based in Africa to raise funds and locate sponsors to financially support Kenyan orphans and works with them toward breaking
    ground on a brand new community center and orphanage in that area
  • Volunteers from H.A.N.D.S. ON also worked in partnership with OPCC, a Los Angeles homeless shelter, to put on a holiday party which included food
    and gifts for needy families
  • Our volunteers worked tirelessly during the disaster clean up after the devastating California fires that ravaged many communities.
  • Partnered with Wow Jam International to bring much needed food and clothing as well as many other items to over 8000 needy families in Long Beach
    California. We will be doing this project every year in June.
MOTIVATING AND MOVING FORWARD:
We realize that we are only a small handful of people in the world but everyone that works and sponsors HANDS ON has a vision and a heart for a better
tomorrow. H.A.N.D.S. ON is dedicated to helping those in need, and educating people by bringing attention to the needs of the hurting that are so often
overlooked or ignored.  We accomplish this through the below activities.
  • We film all of our events and community outreaches in order to inform people about urgent needs right in their own communities.
  • We produce short documentaries concerning insidious and pervasive crises facing people of all ages such as suicide, eating disorders, and domestic
    violence.  
  • We also are willing to speak at seminars and school assemblies on a motivational and educational level in order to bring to light these needs.
  • We have dedicated ourselves to helping those who want to change the situation they are in. We are passionate about educating the people in every
    community about the problems around them and motivating them to take action and be part of the changes that needs to be made.

S.I.T.E. VIDEOS
Seeing Impact Through Education
We believe that one way to impact the world is through education. With this in mind we have come up with different groups of
videos called S.I.T.E. VIDEOS. The videos are broken down into several series that are very different from each other. Although
each series is very unique they all have one common purpose and that is to empower and educate people so that they may have
the hope and courage to conquer the obstacles in their lives. From present day struggles affecting people in the United States to
Orphans in Mexico and Africa there is something in one of the S.I.T.E VIDEO Series for everyone.
